Technical Marketing & Loyalty at Software Startup

One of the first startups Kristi worked for was the software company Scalable Network Technologies (SNT), a networking simulation software company. This hybrid role encompassed technical documentation, training, and technical marketing, and required Kristi to learn about and understand the networking stack and protocols. At SNT, Kristi wore many hats and managed their documentation, training, collateral, webinars, white papers, digital media, email marketing, loyalty program and website. Here Kristi began to transition her career focus from technical writing to technical marketing, CRM and loyalty.

Under Kristi’s leadership, their loyalty concept grew from an idea to a fully-executed university-fed loyalty program, with membership exceeding 400 universities in 14 countries. This program grew our brand awareness, allowing members to beta test the educational version of software. As their affinity for the product grew, so did the user base in a critical demographic of up and coming programmers who were entering the workforce and making recommendations on software for their companies.
